Fizzy Painting

Fizzy Painting

Ready in 10 minutes

Serves 2-4 little people

  1. Set up your sensory table.  Add the box of baking soda to your bin.
  2. Mix the colors.   In separate cups, mix a few food coloring drops with vinegar. Use as many colors as you'd like.
  3. Watch the magic unfold. Finally,  using the eye droppers squeeze the colored vinegar mixture over the baking soda.

  • To engage older children in this activity, you can have them mix the primary colors to make secondary colors.
  • Invite all ages to listen to the fizzy, feel the texture, and describe the colors and bubbles.

Eye droppers are fantastic for strengthening small muscles of the hands. And they are a good challenge for hand-to-eye coordination.
