Fizzy Painting
Ready in 10 minutes
Serves 2-4 little people
Ingredients:
- 1 box of Baking soda
- Vinegar
- Food coloring
- Tools- Eye droppers or Squeeze bottles, and mini cups.
Preparation:
- Set up your sensory table. Add the box of baking soda to your bin.
- Mix the colors. In separate cups, mix a few food coloring drops with vinegar. Use as many colors as you'd like.
- Watch the magic unfold. Finally, using the eye droppers squeeze the colored vinegar mixture over the baking soda.
Tips
- To engage older children in this activity, you can have them mix the primary colors to make secondary colors.
- Invite all ages to listen to the fizzy, feel the texture, and describe the colors and bubbles.
Benefits:
Eye droppers are fantastic for strengthening small muscles of the hands. And they are a good challenge for hand-to-eye coordination.
